Chicha Chi Club Corp. ("Chicha Chi," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Chicha Chi private membership club and the chichachi.app website and application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By applying for membership, creating an account, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Name, email address, and phone number
• Date of birth (collected to verify you meet our 19+ age requirement)
• A government-issued photo ID (e.g. Ontario driver's licence, Canadian passport, or provincial ID card), uploaded during the membership application process for age and identity verification
• Referral information, if you refer another guest to the club

Information collected automatically or through service providers:

• Payment information: all payment card details are collected and processed directly by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. We do not collect or store your full card number, CVV, or expiry date on our own systems.
• Basic account and usage information, such as membership tier, session/visit history, and loyalty program status
• Video recordings from security cameras located in common/floor areas of the club (see Section 3A below)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Verify your identity and confirm you meet the minimum age requirement (19+) for membership
• Process membership applications, approvals, and payments
• Manage your membership, including tier changes, session bookings, referrals, and loyalty rewards
• Send you service-related communications, such as application status updates, receipts, and appointment/session confirmations
• Maintain the security and integrity of our systems and prevent fraud

3A. Video Surveillance

For the safety and security of our members, staff, and premises, Chicha Chi operates security cameras that record video only (no audio) in common/floor areas of the club. Cameras are not placed in private areas such as restrooms.

• Purpose: surveillance footage is used solely for safety, security, incident investigation, and loss prevention.
• Notice: signage is posted at all club entrances and clearly visible areas notifying members and guests that video recording is in progress. By entering the premises, you acknowledge and consent to this recording.
• Access: footage is accessible only to authorized management and, where necessary, law enforcement or legal advisors in connection with an incident.
• Retention: footage is retained for 45 days from the date of recording, after which it is securely deleted, unless required for an active investigation or legal proceeding.
• Scope: no audio is recorded anywhere on the premises.

3B. Sharing With Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the following categories of third-party service providers, solely to operate the Service:

• Stripe — to process membership payments and manage billing
• Email/SMS notification providers — to send you account, application, and booking-related notifications

These providers are only permitted to use your information as necessary to provide their services to us, and are subject to their own privacy and security obligations.

We may also disclose information if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.

4. Data Retention

• Government-issued ID images: retained for up to 1–2 years from the date of upload, after which they are securely deleted, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
• Membership and account information: retained for as long as your membership is active, and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping and legal purposes.

5. Your Rights

Under Canadian privacy law (including PIPEDA), you have the right to:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your personal information, subject to any legal or contractual retention requirements
• Withdraw consent for non-essential uses of your information

6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended solely for individuals 19 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 19.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date above.
